Hi, I go by Kitty Shinigami or just Kitty on the internet. I kind of regret choosing such a juvenile name, but even though I changed my username, I'm still kinda stuck with it. D: I chose it because I really like cats (kitty) and used to love the manga/anime Bleach (shinigami). So creative, I know... This is my third account here on Deviantart. I originally joined in 2002, in the wave of artists who came here after Mediaminer went to shit. _{(I wonder if anyone reading this is even old enough to know what I'm talking about?)}

I live in Ontario, Canada and I'm 26 years old. I graduated with a diploma in graphic design in 2010, and while that may be my day job, my true love since I was a small child is drawing/illustration. I adopted japanese manga/anime style when I was around 13 and have been drawing that way ever since, though I enjoy painting realistic portraits every now and then. Currently, I'm the author of a webcomic called The Seven Sacrifices, which has been on hiatus for awhile due to personal reasons. I fully intend to resume it once I get settled into my own place this summer and can be in a better environment and set up a proper work space.

The tools I use to draw include: a Wacom Intuos4 tablet, the programs Paint Tool Sai, Photoshop & Manga Studio, Copic sketch/ciao markers. I like to experiment with just about everything I can get my hands on, so you may also see me post art made with something entirely different than those listed.

I'm also very willing to talk to anyone about... well, anything, so if you have a question or just want to chat about fandoms or discuss serious issues or anything in between, please feel free to! I also love art trades as long as I have the time, and I will probably do a request if it's based on one of my favorite fandoms (which you can find in the stamps below!)
